The reel disc-clutch device can change the rotary direction of a reel disc when the tape recorder rewinds in the mode change, mounts reel discs (4,5) having the reel gears (2,3) to the both side on the deck (1) of tape recorder. The device mounts the relay gears (6,7) at the middle part of reel discs (4,5), mounts the idle gears (8,9) engaged with both the sides of relay gears (6,7). The idle gears (8,9) link the connecting plate (10) between the relay gear (6) and the idle gears, and the device has a felt (14) having friction force between the connecting plate (10) and the relay gear (6) of upper sids.
