One connecting plate (10) is mounted between each two adjoining segments (7) and the segments and plates are made from a polymer material. The connecting plates adjoin the segments in the area of the end sides (11,12) and successive plates can be mounted alternately on one end side and then the other. The inner diameter of the plates can correspond to the outer diameter of the segment part. The plates preferably have stop faces (13) for axially adjoining a bearing sleeve surrounding same. The one-piece unit should have sufficient elasticity for fitting in the metal bearing sleeve of the recirculating ball unit.
