detecting the output of a manuscript paper size after turning on an exposing lamp and setting a flag corresponding thereto; scanning forward a carriage, checking whether the output (the concentration of the manuscript) of a manuscript concentration sensor is adequate or not, and, if it is not adequate, varying a brightness control signal to set the luminance state of the exposing lamp; and checking whether the scanning is finished in the size recognized in the first step, and if so, turning off the exposing lamp; and displaying the manuscript paper size, selecting a cassette for the size, turning on the exposing lamp to scan the manuscript paper to the end thereof, thereby reducing hardware and performing clean copying.
