The cassette drive has a pivot wheel (8) mounted on a pivot lever (7), rotating about the tone shaft axis (4) and engaging a gearwheel (10) concentric to the tone shaft axis (4). A servo-wheel (11) has a cam disc (18) carrying cams (19,19.1) cooperating with an eject button to move the servo-wheel (11) out of the working position. Pref. the eject button cooperates with a retaining latch (15) in its depressed position to release the cover for the cassette reception compartment after initial movement of the servo-wheel (11). ADVANTAGE - Manual eject button allows removal of tape cassette after current failure in start or review position.
