<p>An engine control system for a vehicle which controls the output of the engine in response to change in the accelerator depression detects the accelerator depression fluctuation rate and the vehicle speed fluctuation rate. The control system increases the change in the engine output for a given change in the accelerator depression when the accelerator depression fluctuation rate is large and the vehicle speed fluctuation rate is small and reduces the same when the change in the accelerator depression fluctuation rate is small and the vehicle speed fluctuation rate is large. <IMAGE></p> |
