The refrigerator has reciprocating compression and/or displacement pistons (1) with the piston rods (8) supported radially and axially via roller bearings (6), with standard seals (5) between the pistons and the regenerative cylinder (2). Pref. the pistons are supported by linear roller bearings, supported in special roller bearing tracks (9) preventing any relative rotation of the piston. ADVANTAGE - Reduced friction and consequently wear,with increased service life.
