<p>Mounted on a blade shaft are cutting discs, separated by annular spacers to form a roller for a document shredder. The discs and spacers are compressed together at a suitable force by locking rings, fitting into grooves at the ends of the shafts. Each spacer (4) is made of a plastics or metal, which is deformed under pressure. One or both sides (8) can be of a conical shape so that the outside surface (9) is larger than the inside one.</p> |
