Process and apparatus for melting aluminium alloy scraps

An apparatus and a process for melting aluminium alloy scraps for example as illustrated in Figure 1, in which molten metal contained in a cylindrical chamber (2) is given a rotational force so that the molten metal swells up along the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical chamber (2) by a centrifugal force caused by the rotational force while the liquid- phase surface thereof is kept so as to form a parabola to thereby produce a vortex flow in the molten metal; and in which aluminium alloy scraps are introduced into the vortex flow.
