An assisted steering mechanism, in particular for motor vehicles, has a control valve (1) designed as a rotary slide valve for controlling the transport by a servopump (3) of a pressurized medium from a container (4) to and from the pressure chambers of a servomotor (2). The control valve (1) has two feedback chambers (10, 11) connected each by a fixed throttle (12, 13) and by a common throttle (14) to a pressure line (15) of the servopump (3). The feedback pressure acting in the feedback chambers (10, 11) can be limited to a maximum value by a cutting-off valve (18) designed as a manometer whose pick-up pressure can be adjusted from the outside without dismounting it.
