REACTION PRODUCTS FROM POLYBASIC CARBOXYLIC ACID- AND AMINO GROUP-CONTAINING COMPOUNDS, PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME AND THEIR USE IN WASHING AND CLEANING AGENTS

Reaction products from polybasic carboxylic acids- and amino groups-containing compounds are obtained by heating mixtures of (a) polybasic carboxylic acids from the group composed of citric acid, isocitric acid, aconitic acid, itaconic acid and/or tartaric acid and (b) amino group-containing compounds, at a molar ratio of (a):(b) from 1:0.1 to 1:10 at temperatures of at least 80 C. Also disclosed is a process for preparing these polymer reaction products, as well as their use as additives for phosphate-poor and phosphate-free washing and cleaning agents.
