PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cell culture articles and methods of use thereof, and in particular, articles suitable for supporting the culture of stem cell derived cardiomyocytes.SOLUTION: Synthetic surfaces suitable for culturing stem cell derived cardiomyocytes contain acrylate polymers formed from one or more acrylate monomers. There is provided a cell culture comprising a beating cell expressing Nkx2.5 disposed on a surface comprising a diacrylate or dimethacrylate suitable for culturing stem cell derived cardiomyocytes in chemically defined media.SELECTED DRAWING: None
