PURPOSE:To obtain the device which is superior in flexibility about software without requiring a large-capacity storage means even when the number of handled articles increases. CONSTITUTION:Article names are divided into words and code numbers corresponding to the respective words are stored in a processor 7 as master registration. A bar codes characteristics to each article is generated by combining the respective code numbers and entered into an order table 4. A bar code reader 3 reads the bar code of the order table 4 and transfers it to a terminal device 8. The terminal device 8 divides the bar code data into words and specifies the article name on the basis of the master registration. Thus, the article name is divided into the words and registered in a master file, so even if the number of handled articles increases, the article name can be specified by the same master registration. |
