A double-tube core taking apparatus in which the inner tube (2) is connected to the outer tube (1) by a rolling bearing (11) with multiple ball and/or needle bearings, makes it possible to make the inner tube (2) rigid and prevent it from being driven in rotation at the same time as the outer tube (1). The core taking apparatus includes an indicator of the blocking of the core in the inner tube (2) and a closure device (19) intended to receive a ball (26) which is capable of closing the inner tube (2) of the core taking apparatus whatever the inclination of the inclined (directional, deviated) drilling (borehole).
