By installing a hardware which calculates a check sum defined by digital data storage (DDS) format, this device lightens CPU burden and improves a processing speed. The device comprises: a buffer memory control sec. (510) for generating and outputting a low, a column and a select address signal; a check sum control sec. (520) for generating and outputting a control signal to calculate the check sum; a check sum calculating sec. (530) for calculating and recording the check sum value; a read, write offset counter sec. for outputting the offset signal; and the 1st and 2nd multiplexer (560,590) for selecting the offset signal and the address signal respectively.
