DATA CONDENSING AND EXPANDING METHOD OF PULSE CODE MODULATION SYSTEM

By counting the number of repetition of the same or similar data to recording, this method provides an effective way of usage which avoides an overlapped storage. The compression method comprises the steps of; comparing the 1st sampled value and the 2nd sampled value; counting the number of repetition of a similar value; and recording the number of repetition. The extension method comprises the steps of; deciding whether the sampled values are within similar range or not; detecting the number of repetition of the value; recording the number; counting the number; and extending the 1st sampled value repeatedly in the number of repetition.
