PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of facilitating the work of removing residual sheets after the occurrence of sheet jam.SOLUTION: When the direction of a switching part 6 is a sheet discharge guidance direction at the time of the occurrence of sheet jam in a circulation conveyance part 3, a control part 8 performs control so as to maintain the direction and discharge sheets P in a portion on the downstream side with respect to the jam occurrence position of the circulation conveyance part 3, a belt platen 46, and the sheet discharge part 5. When the direction of the switching part 6 is the circulation guidance direction, the control part 8 performs control so as to switch the direction of the switching part 6 to the sheet discharge guidance direction after the sheets P in passage through the switching part 6 pass through the switching part 6, and discharge the sheets P in the portion on the downstream side with respect to the jam occurrence position of the circulation conveyance part 3, the belt platen 46, and the sheet discharge part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
