KNOCK TYPE WRITING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate insertion of a clip into a pocket of a clothing without raising the clip in the state that a writing tip of a contained refill protrudes from an end opening of a barrel. SOLUTION: A clip 10 is connected to a knocking unit 11. A locking means 12 is provided at a ball part 9 at an end of the clip 10. A long hole 15 where a leg side of the clip 10 slides so that the clip 10 can move forward is provided at a peripheral side face of a barrel 2. A locking part 18 is provided to prevent the clip 10 from rising due to contact of the means 12 with a position of the barrel 2 at a peripheral side face opposed to the ball part 9 of the clip 10 in the case that the clip 10 tends to rise when a writing tip of a refill 5 forward of the hole 15 protrudes from the end opening of the barrel 2.
