POLYMER HAVING PHTHALOCYANINE STRUCTURE, PRODUCTION METHOD OF THE SAME, PIGMENT COMPOSITION, PIGMENT DISPERSION, AND TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer that improves dispersibility of each color pigment in a water-insoluble solvent, and to provide a pigment composition, a pigment dispersion, and a toner having good and high tinting strength.SOLUTION: The polymer has a monomer unit having a phthalocyanine structure. A production method of the polymer is provided, including steps of: (i) polymerizing a polymerizable monomer having a hydroxyl group to obtain a polymer having a hydroxyl group; (ii) allowing the hydroxyl group of the polymer to react with phthalonitrile having a leaving group to introduce phthalonitrile into the polymer via an ether linkage; and (iii) allowing the phthalonitrile introduced into the polymer to react to form a phthalocyanine ring. The pigment composition, the pigment dispersion and the toner comprise the above polymer and carbon black or a phthalocyanine pigment.SELECTED DRAWING: None
