AN INDICATOR DEVICE FOR SIGNALLING THAT THE WEAR LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED FOR SERVO-OPERATED CLUTCHES

An indicator device for signalling when the wear limit has been reached for servo-operated clutches. The indicator comprises a slide valve (10) which is slidably provided in a boring (4) in the servo cylinder wall (3) and under the influence of the servo piston (2) can be shifted from a first position to a second position as a warning that the wear limit has been reached. The slide valve (10) and the boring (4) are graduated and adapted to each other and between these there are provided a number of packings (20, 22, 23, 24) which together with a channel (40) in the slide valve and the servo cylinder wall (3) cause the slide valve (10) to be kept pneumatically in the said positions and moved from the first to the second postion. In this slide valve position the device may also provide a choking of the channel (51, 52) for the supply of compressed air to the servo cylinder and a leakage of compressed air from it.
