PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raised image forming thermal transfer sheet capable or realizing desired three-dimensional image simultaneously with transfer, a raised image forming method and raised image formed matter. SOLUTION: A raised image forming thermal transfer sheet is obtained by forming a thermal expansion layer 3 consisting of a thermal foaming agent and a resin binder with a number average mol. wt. or 1,000-30,000 on one surface of a base material sheet 1 through a release layer if necessary. In a raised image forming method, the thermal transfer sheet and a thermal receiving sheet are opposed and the thermal transfer sheet is heated under pressure from the rear surface thereof by a hot stamp having a printing pattern formed thereto by an uneven shape and, simultaneously with the thermal transfer of the thermal expansion layer in the thermal transfer sheet to the thermal receiving layer, the transferred thermal expansion layer is foamed to form a raised image and raised image formed matter is thermally transferred to the thermal receiving sheet and, at the same time, the transferred thermal expansion layer is foamed to provide a raised image. |
