A pair of shorting contacts for printed circuit board assembly includes a pair of contact strips, each of which has a longitudinal axis. A protrusion is formed on each of the contact strips. Each protrusion is frusto-conical in shape. Each protrusion has a base and a top. Each protrusion is formed at an acute angle w.r.t. the longitudinal axis of the respective contact strip. The contact strips are in side-by-side relationship so that their angled protrusions confront one another in a transverse configuration.
