In an internal combustion engine with fuel injection, in particular a single-cylinder diesel engine, the injection pump (4) is driven by a rocker (3) actuated by a cam (2) of the camshaft (1). The position of the rocker (3) can be adjusted by an adjusting arm (14) which cooperates with an adjusting member which rocks an eccentric rocker bearing part over a limited distance according to a control variable dependent on the speed of the engine. The swivelling bolt (12) of the rocker is eccentrically mounted on a stationary bearing bolt (13), the adjusting arm (14) is fixedly secured to the swivelling bolt (12) of the rocker and the adjusting member is designed as an oil pressure-dependent slide (17, 18).
