The invention relates to a process for preparing nanostructured biomaterials of the bismuth-substituted hydroxyapatite type, for medical applications. According to the invention, the process consists in mixing an aqueous solution of Bi(NO)x 5HO and Ca(OH)with an aqueous solution of HPO, so that the resulting solution shows a (Ca+Bi)/P molar ratio of 1.67, while maintaining the pH at a constant value of 10.5, the resulting precipitate being left to age for 24 h, at 60°C, while stirring continuously, then separated under vacuum, washed, dried and roasted at 800°C for 1 h, to result in a crystalline yellow powder having a porosity of 40...50% and a pore size of 1.2...2.2 nm. |
