In the case of a windscreen wiper for a windscreen of a motor vehicle having a main bracket, intermediate brackets and claw-type brackets which hold a wiper blade, between the main bracket and the wiper blade there is provided a seal which permits relative movements between the main bracket and wiper blade perpendicularly with respect to the windscreen.
