1. A method, comprising:
authenticating, with one or more computers communicatively coupled to a network, a client; simultaneously with an initiation of authenticating a client, creating, with the one or more computers, a usage tracking record in a usage tracking database comprising a client identifier; in response to receiving a decoding request from a client, the decoding request comprising an image of decodable indicia, locating, with the one or more computers, the decodable indicia within the image; in response to successfully locating the decodable indicia, decoding, with the one or more computers, the decodable indicia into a decoded message; in response to completing a decoding operation, transmitting to the client, with the one or more computers, the decoded message and/or a decoding operation completion code; and in response to completing the decoding operation, updating, with the one or more computers, the usage tracking database comprising the client identifier. |
