The invention relates to the measurement of the instant when one or more radio frequency signals arrive within a predetermined band. A micro-scanning receiver (10) comprises a frequency-discriminator circuit (26) producing an output signal which is proportional to the central frequency of an intermediate-frequency signal of the receiver and to the percentage subdivision of a scanning interval which results from the instant of actual arrival of a detected signal. This output signal is applied to a numerical table (36) to produce an arrival instant correction signal, making it possible to take measurements of arrival instant having a precision corresponding to a fraction of a scanning interval.
