The magnetotherapy appts. has a number of magnetic field generating units (10) mounted on a bed-like base. Each generating unit consists of a row of cases containing solenoids, the magnetic pole surfaces of which are similarly orientated. The cases are connected by hinged joints to allow each row to be bent. The generating units are arranged in parallel on the base, with their magnetic pole surfaces facing the same direction. The solenoids generate heat and vibration in addition to magnetic fields.
