Multiple-image CCD camera

CCD camera capable of giving several readings of a part of its image while the other part of the image is being integrated. This camera is constructed around a CCD array the image region of which is driven by two groups of clocks. The control electronics makes it possible to keep one group of clocks at the integration voltage while making the other group operate over read cycles. This invention is particularly intended for astronomical images which require a long integration time and a possibility for steering the telescope during this time.
