A sales display system comprises oblong carrier elements made as trays (4, 14), whether being parts of packings or inventory parts, adapted to be placed on shelves or in a shelflike manner. Preferably the trays (26, 32) are adapted to be suspended on a carrier rail (20) at their rear ends, whereby the trays may be grouped to form their own shelf structure, with variable width.
