a commanded velocity generator for receiving the acceleration pattern signal and for determining a commanded velocity of the actuator from the acceleration pattern signal; a displacement velocity generator for receiving the tracking error signal and for determining a displacement velocity of the actuator; a reference tracking error generator for determining a variation of the displacement velocity of the actuator and for generating a corresponding reference tracking error signal; a detector for comparing the commanded velocity signal, the displacement velocity signal and the reference tracking error signal and for generating a corresponding error signal indicative of a difference between the commanded velocity and an actual displacement velocity of the actuator; a differentiator for differentiating the error signal and for generating a corresponding differentiated error signal; and an error corrector for adjusting the acceleration pattern signal in accordance with the differentiated error signal.
