An adapter which enables a vibration measuring instrument to be connected to a rolling bearing. Instead of a robust screw having a conical surface which is tightened against the conical surface of a countersunk screw-threaded hole, there is used in accordance with the invention a flat surface (4) having a pin (5) in the form of a resilient tubular pin which is inserted into a generally smaller hole (6), so as to bring the flat surface into abutment, wherein the adapter is secured with a quick-acting glue.
