An electric circuit serves to feed an electric motor 1 from an electric network (mains supply) 2. The operating voltage of the electric motor 1 deviates from the system (line, mains, supply) voltage. An ohmic voltage divider 4 is provided in the line 3 connected to the network. A voltage corresponding to the operating voltage of the electric motor 1 is tapped at the tapping points 5, 6 of the resistor R2 of this ohmic voltage divider 4. A rectifier bridge circuit 8 is arranged in the connecting line 7 between these tapping points 5, 6 and the electric motor 1. The electric circuit serves, in particular, to feed a fan motor for an electric resistance heating system for railway carriages. It is expedient in this case to form the ohmic voltage divider from a resistance heating element of the electric resistance heating system. |
