MULTILAYER DIELECTRIC RESONATOR AND FILTER

A multilayer dielectric resonator and filter of a folded strip line type resonator structure. The distance between inner and outer earth conductors between which an inner conductor pattern on the open side is interposed is shorter than that between inner and outer earth conductors between which an inner conductor pattern on the short-circuit side is interposed. Owing to this arrangement, a capacitance is provided on the end. Therefore, the resonance frequency decreases, the longitudinal dimensions of the resonator can be short compared to a resonator of the same resonance frequency. Since the resonator has no stepped portions, it has excellent producibility and mountability. The multilayer dielectric resonator and multilayer dielectric filter are further miniaturized, and the mounting areas thereof on a device are reduced.
