A grid type test fixture for testing circuit boards (16) includes a grid base (10) with test probes (12) on a grid patern connected to electrical test circuits in an electronic test analyzer (20). A translator fixture (14) mounted on the grid base (10) supports the board (16) and contains translator pins (24), such as tilt pins, for translating electrical signals between an off-grid pattern of test points on the board (16) to the grid pattern of probes in the grid base (10).
