The handling and washing station uses two series of brushes that are articulated to pontoons arranged on either side of the hull. A first series (7) arranged on each side of the hull have their axes generally vertical, and a second series (6) float on each side of the hull. The second series of brushes are arranged on an inclined axis in order to follow the shape of the hull. They each have a saucer shape and are mounted on floating caissons which are hinged one to the other. They are connected to a slideway through a parallelogram.
