CARTRIDGE DISPENSER WITH INTERIOR BAG AND INTERLOCKING LID

A dispensing canister (80) for viscous fluids, such as sauces at a fast food outlet is disclosed. The container includes a peripheral side wall (82) of cardboard or other inexpensive material. Rings (98, 100) are applied to the ends of the sleeve (82) which act to stiffen and maintain the tube in its proper configuration. There is a plunger (84) with a trailing edge (108) received within the rearward ring (at 104) in an initial position. A lid (86) with a skirt and catch (34) closes the other end of the sleeve (82) by cooperating with the ring (100) at that end of the container. The sleeve has a bag (113) containing the viscous material which open end is captured by the lid. The plunger (at 110) is constructed to gather the bag as it collapses.
