The grenade, e.g. for attacking a tank, truck or helicopter at a range of 150-200 m, has an inner assembly which can rotate about an axis parallel to that of the grenade, comprising a charge (2) with its axis lying perpendicular to that of the grenade and electronic detectors (3, 4) with an electrical power supply. An outer housing (10) is separate from the inner assembly, has a window (11) for the detectors, bearings (5) for the inner assembly to rotate on, and a propulsion system (7, 8). The grenade can be discharged from a launcher strapped to a soldier's forearm. The target detectors (3, 4) comprise temperature and magnetic field detectors to identify hot metal masses, and a laser diode transmitter/receiver for measuring the distance to the target.
