PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow photons to be detected by restricting fluctuation in photoelectric conversion gain.SOLUTION: A photon detector includes a photoelectric conversion part, a voltage supply part, an electric potential fluctuation detection part and an adjustment part. The photoelectric conversion part performs photoelectric conversion according to incident photons and outputs a current corresponding to the number of the photons. The voltage supply part supplies a voltage to the photoelectric conversion part. The electric potential fluctuation detection part detects an electric potential fluctuation of a cathode of the photoelectric conversion part. The adjustment part outputs the current output by the photoelectric conversion part to the outside, while adjusting the electric potential of an anode of the photoelectric conversion part so as to restrict the fluctuation in potential difference between the cathode and the anode of the photoelectric conversion part according to the electric potential fluctuation detected by the electric potential fluctuation detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
