A locking means for a saw blade carrier of a portable saw milling apparatus. The saw milling apparatus comprises a frame which supports a carriage for longitudinal movement along substantially parallel tracks. The carriage supports the saw blade carrier. The saw blade is movable from a first position wherein the blade is vertically oriented to a second position wherein the blade is substantially horizontally oriented. The saw blade carrier is rotated from the first to second positions by a handle 6 and is locked by co-operation of a locking arm 1 and surfaces 3 and 4a. Surface 3 is at a small angle out of square to provide an overcentre cam-locking effect. |
