FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to power cables used to transmit electric energy. Process of manufacture of power cable includes preparation of paper, preparation of impregnating compound containing technical insulation oil and rosin, application of paper insulation on conductors, drying, impregnation with heated impregnating compound in vacuum cooker in two stages: under vacuum and under atmospheric pressure, drain of impregnating compound out of cooler, cooling and subsequent application of sheath, armoring and protective covers. In process of cooking of impregnating compound it is additionally injected with polyethylene wax in the amount of 0.8-30.0% of total mass of impregnating compound and rosin - in the amount of 2.0-8.0% of same mass of impregnating compound, technical insulation oil being the balance. Impregnation is carried out in the course of 20-30 hours at temperature 120-180 C. Stage of impregnation under vacuum is conducted at 5-10 mm Hg till foam formation stops completely. Drain of impregnation compound out of cooker is performed at temperature exceeding melting point of polyethylene wax. EFFECT: enhanced operational characteristics of power cable, increased quality, reduced expenditures and acceleration of process of cable manufacture. |
