FIELD: electric communications; transmission-system underwater cable lines including those buried in sea bottom. SUBSTANCE: underwater cable is routed by means of cable-laying ship from underwater position; ship is made in the form of submarine submerged to working depth; while it is being submerged, excess pressure is built up in its working compartment which rises in proportion to its sinking depth; underwater cable is drawn out through outlet hole outboard of submarine and laid on sea bottom with sag adjusted by measuring depth of submarine sinking, for example. EFFECT: provision for laying cable in different-to-get-at regions of the World Ocean during any season and under all weather conditions. |
