A bra has: (a) two cups (31,32); (b) a back tape (33); and (c) an adjusting device (40) with a pair of male insertion parts and female receiving halves. The device (40) permits the cups (31,32) to be joined and an adjustment on the front side. The receiving part defines an oblong opening while the insertion part contains a plate which can be moved freely along the opening of the receiving part. A central tongue is split off an inner plate end and is elastically deformable w.r.t. the plate. The tongue ends in a barb-type head, which is brought into contact with the corrugated inner side walls of the receiving part.
