PURPOSE: To make status management for a fault of satellite channel efficient by providing setup information of the satellite channel to a satellite network controller being a host communication equipment. CONSTITUTION: When the operator of a central satellite communication earth station enters configuration change or the like of a satellite communication network, a satellite access controller 2 applies health check in a polling form through a satellite channel 6 to a slave satellite communication earth station 3 under its control. When no reply is received, a fault of the satellite channel is detected. The satellite access controller 2 informs a station ID number as information of the slave satellite communication earth station 3 whose satellite channel fault is detected. The satellite network controller 1 retrieves the station ID number based on preceding satellite channel setup information having internal data. When it is discriminated that a satellite channel is not set up even at once in the past, fault status information is aborted and not sent to a status monitor 4. |
