The electric connector device includes a connector box (1) which is plastic and has a lower section with narrow metallic strips (20,22,24) with an upper fork which strips wire outer covers. The insertable upper section (4) has a series of channels (43) sloping at one end to allow easy access to the wires (44) with outer covers (45). Slots (46) run across the wires, and the forks fit into the slots and as the upper section (54) is pressed into place strip the outers off making connection. One of the forks (22) is connected to earth.
