The metal sheet is bent along at least one bending line. The invention also relates to a device for producing a metal sheet of this nature in accordance with this process, the process being distinguished by the fact that the metal sheet is weakened along at least one bending line prior to bending. The process according to the present invention makes it possible to transport the metal plates which are suitable for producing products or semi-finished products of three- dimensional shape in a flat state. In this case, the products or semi-finished products may be formed by bending parts of the metal sheet along bending lines, either manually or with the aid of a simple tool, at the intended location. The reduced costs of transporting metal sheets in a flat state makes it possible to widen the possible applications.
