1377 A process for regulating the prepn. of mechanical pulp for lignocellulosic material fed into a defibrator (15) contg. two grinding discs rotating in different directions for grinding down material and then passing it out at 50-200 CSF selected freeness and with a chosen reduced long fibre content, through a gap between the discs. In this process pulp freeness and long fibre content are measured continuously after defibration, the grinding gap is measured and controlled to give the chosen long fibre content and the addn. of material to the defibrator is regulated to give the selected freeness.
