The appts. has a movable measurement sensor (134) with a measuring head (135) which can be operated in combination with at least two other measuring heads (132,151) which can be fixed in position, rotated and be in the form of toothed wheels. The appliance enables work steps such as punching holes in locking stays, positioning the stays and glazing bars and other fittings. Data acquired with the fixed measuring heads can be used for establishing the movement of the stays or bars or controlling machines for fabricating the window.
