The communications capsule uses a room-within-a-room principle and has a closed housing enclosing a seat for the user and a number of communication devices. The room enclosed by the housing is pref. optically and acoustically screened from the room in which it is located, to ensure the privacy of the user. The communications capsule can be assembled from a number of modules with integration of television, video, personal computer, video telephone, CD and audio cassette facilities etc.
