Multiple sensors and actuators with bus system arrangement

The structure of a bus system (1) interconnects the sensors (2) and the actuators, working according to the master-slave principle. The master is the control unit (3) for the bus system. This can be a personal computer (PC) or some programmed control (SPS). The slaves are the packages (6), each with N sensors and N actuators, totalling M. A typical maximum value of M is 31. These are all connected to the bus line (4). The data exchange between the master and the slaves is carried out by the call unit (5). Each package has an interface package (7). The call unit and the interface package can be produced as an integrated circuit.
