Paper mfg. head-box lamella for fast tip change avoiding fibre lumps

A head-box lamella comprises: a) a massive base piece which, b) at the downstream end and across the machine breadth, splits into an upper (3) and lower part (2), c) a significantly thinner, less massive tip section (1) extending the whole machine breadth to be held between the parts and jut out evenly from the base in the machine run direction and a catch (4, 10, 11) between upper and lower parts which effects the clamping together when one is displaced w.r.t. the other. Also claimed is a method for inserting the tip section.
